Name: Mona Johannesson Adriana Francesca Lima was born June 12, 1981 in Salvador, Brazil. When she was 15 she won her first competition in the Ford Supermodel of Brazil model search. After some other contest she eventually moved to New York City. After leaving Ford models she then signed with Elite Model Management. She then has been in such magazines as Vogue, Marie Claire, Maybelline, Guess, and many others. But if Adriana is known for anything it is her work with Victoria Secret. She has been a VS Angel since 2000. Her work with Victoria Secret has elevated her to celebrity status along with models Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum. She is now with DNA Models. Adriana has also been in a BMW short film titled “The Follow,” with such names as Mickey Rourke and Clive Owen.
